Bulletin N51 octobre 2024  Genocide takes on abominable proportions
Since the beginning of the genocide perpetrated by the occupying army, from October 7, 2023, there have been horrors, terrible ones, more terrible than the others. But what has been underway for several weeks in the north of the Gaza Strip is beyond all human understanding. What the occupying army is implementing is the confirmed desire to exterminate the Palestinian people.
In the northern Gaza Strip, hospitals are destroyed or out of order, and no food is reaching the Palestinian population, some of whom have been for nearly a month. All medical staff at Kamel Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip have been arrested and deported, leaving only one pediatrician. The Gaza Health Ministry has appealed to international organizations to quickly send medical and surgical teams to the hospital, and is also calling on all those with surgical skills to join them.
The Jabalya refugee camp looks like a crater on the moon for the part that the Zionist army controls. On the ground, engineers have placed explosives that are then used as targets for planes, to cause even more damage. Palestinians fleeing to the south by routes that the colonizing state claims are machine-gunned. There is no solution for tens of thousands of Palestinians.
And, as if that were not enough, all the Zionists voted to exclude UNRWA from their country, which implies in the occupied territories as well; this means the end of all supplies of all care if this decision is carried out. The Irish Prime Minister expressed very strongly his condemnation of such a vote, but the European Union remains silent and nothing is being done, neither in the EU nor in the USA to stop the genocide. Because if proof were needed that the Zionists are knowingly organizing the genocide, this vote provides it clearer than ever. Starving and depriving a population of care, what name does that have?
What this vote also says is that the good souls who, in our country in particular, attack the "  far-right government of Netanyahu  " and applaud the Israeli demonstrators who criticize his management of the captives and demand their return, are completely wrong. The problem is not Netanyahu, it is Zionism, as a whole, it is the colonial project of settlement, validated by all Zionists, from Meretz to Ben Gvir. It is a safe bet that, if, as it claims, the genocidal government submits the banning of Hadash [1] to a vote in the Knesset , all Zionists will approve it.
The bombings continue in the central area of Gaza, with their procession of deaths and desolation, videos circulate every day, no one can say they don't know, but many people don't want to know. This is the case of Yaël Braun-Pivet who doesn't understand what Macron means when he indirectly says that Israel sows barbarism. The most incomprehensible thing is that the public service journalist who is interviewing her doesn't think to suggest explanations for Macron's remarks, perhaps the blind bombings, the hospitals and schools targeted, as well as the UN facilities, the journalists, or even the historic buildings, that should be enough to understand.
In Lebanon, the genocidal army continues its work of death. They have just bombed Balbek, a city with thousands of years of history, Roman temples, Greek buildings from the Hellenistic period and whose name refers to an even older era, since Baal is a Phoenician god. These people have no history, they cling to the one invented by the first Zionists, a lying history. As Pierre Stamboul says: "  There is no Jewish people, there is a Yiddish people, a Berber-Jewish people [...] And all these people do not come from Palestine, they are descendants of converts. [...] The only descendants of the Hebrews are the Palestinians.  " And when we have no history and we invent one, we cannot bear the traces of true history, so we destroy it, as in Tyre, in Balbek, or with the church of Saint Porphyry in Gaza, dating from the 3rd century .
In addition, the Zionist army bombed the home of Nabih Berri, the speaker of the Lebanese parliament, who leads a political movement, Amal, which does not have an armed militia.
If the Zionist army is making great strides in achieving its goals regarding destruction, deportations and the death of civilians, it has not achieved any of its military goals in Lebanon, its soldiers have not advanced a kilometer on the ground in southern Lebanon, or, when they did, they then retreated, the north of the Zionist state is under fire from rockets from the Lebanese Resistance. So, some say that the soldiers are taking revenge on civilians by bombing blindly. This is obviously possible. But, above all, for the genocidal leaders it is a strategy of terror, which they continue to apply in Gaza, and they do the same in Lebanon. The only thing that changes is that the Resistance is better armed in Lebanon than in Gaza. One thing is certain, the military superiority of the Zionist army, apart from in the air, is a deliberate lie. Because, in the Jabalya camp too, despite the destruction, the Palestinian Resistance continues to strike blows at the troops on the ground. The guerrilla fight, that of the Partisans who defend their soil, is invincible in the long term.
Investigation into the 749th Battalion
The US Drop site news website has conducted an investigation into the 749th battalion of the occupation army, engaged in the war against Gaza. These are not fighters, but an engineering unit, which came after the fighting and whose task is to destroy buildings by blowing them up.
As early as October 9, 2023, the deputy commander of the Israeli 749th Combat Engineer Battalion, Lt. Col. Adi Bekore, posted this message on his personal Facebook account: “  Now go attack the Amalekites and completely destroy everything that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.  ”
It is a quote from a biblical passage in which the biblical nation of Israel is ordered to attack the Amalekites, an ancient biblical nation that was a recurring enemy of the Israelites. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also invoked the reference early in the war — a moment cited by South Africa in its ICJ brief as an element of genocidal rhetoric.
Like most speeches coming from all branches of the Israeli military since the beginning of its attack on Gaza, these words served as a stark warning of what was to come. A year later, countless homes, schools, hospitals and residential buildings have been bombed and destroyed.
Drop site news recounts the misdeeds of this unit, peppered with comments from soldiers. Battalion 749 was among the first to enter the Gaza Strip through the Netzarim Corridor, the six-kilometer-long road separating Gaza City and Deir al-Balah that Israel occupied at the beginning of the war in order to divide northern and southern Gaza. After helping to consolidate control of southern Gaza City, including the Netzarim Corridor, the battalion then advanced into areas such as Shuja'iya in Gaza City, the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, and even Rafah.
For the past few weeks, Battalion 749 has been operating in northern Gaza and Jabalia, where the Israeli campaign has intensified in terms of executions and depopulation. There, the battalion seems to be rushing to destroy as many buildings as possible. As one soldier put it: " We will leave them nothing! "
In December 2023, the battalion destroyed Al-Azhar University, reducing Gaza’s second-largest university to rubble. “  On Shabbat, we loaded the mines and I signed the shipment with a modification due to the sanctity of Shabbat  ,” Staff Sergeant David Zoldan, an operations officer in Company A of the Israeli 749th Battalion, wrote in a Facebook post in December. “ A few days later, we gathered them together and booby-trapped one of the symbols of Gaza’s future – Al-Azhar University in the northern part of the Strip – and blew it up .”
As the university explodes, Zoldan tells his classmates, “ Hiroshima and Nagasaki together, did you see?! ” Zoldan has provided no military justification for the explosion, and the Israeli military reported finding nothing on the campus. In a chilling post before the explosion, Zoldan wrote on his Facebook page on November 19, 2023, “ Student from Gaza, you could have been a PhD in nuclear physics, you could have studied philosophy in the fifth year, and now, what now?? Nails, feathers, and the destruction of dreams.  ”
For several weeks in November and December 2023, Israel used its siege of Gaza to justify the total annihilation of civilian infrastructure in the Strip’s cities and suburbs. The army not only worked to establish a nearly kilometer-long “ buffer zone ” inside the Gaza border by demolishing homes and buildings. It also razed a six-kilometer-wide strip in the heart of Gaza, separating the north from the south of the Strip. What is happening today in northern Gaza is just a continuation of what was started in November and December 2023. All of this was well planned from the beginning. Very little is allowed to be published about the demolitions carried out to establish the Netzarim corridor due to Israel’s strict military censorship rules. It was only in February that a reporter from Israel's Channel 14 was able to publish a video investigation revealing the " latitudinal road ", with major razing and paving work underway.
Gaza City lies north of the Netzarim Corridor, with Shuja'iya being one of its largest neighborhoods. On December 20, a massive detonation was carried out by soldiers from D Company under the command of Major Amit Pinto, the company commander, and his operational officer, Staff Sergeant Tom Mor, destroying more than 56 civilian buildings in the Qubba area, east of the Shuja'iya neighborhood. Video of the detonation was first leaked to right-wing Israeli journalists and then widely shared on social media. In the background, Israeli soldiers can be heard chanting “ May your village burn  ! ” after the explosion. This is a reference to a song known for inciting violence and celebrating damage to Palestinians and their property, often chanted by ultra-extremists in Israel. The song has recently taken Israel by storm, even being played in nightclubs, at weddings and in schools. On the same day, Staff Sergeant Ori Fadida, a team officer in the battalion that participated in the operation, posted a video on his Instagram story with the caption: “ We will not let a single mouse breathe on the face of the earth, we are done with the Shuja'iya neighborhood.  ”

We must stop the genocidaires!
Can we continue to blabber about "  Israel's right to defend itself  " after this story?
This work of death must stop, we must do everything to stop it. We have only one strength, that of numbers, that of demanding in greater numbers, despite the cops who dispersed the Parisian demonstration of solidarity with Palestine on October 30, the cessation of arms deliveries and economic and diplomatic sanctions.
We can also break the law of silence of the entire media. It is fashionable on the left to vilify the so-called far-right channel C News, but the other private channels called continuous news treat the Palestinian question in the same way. Rochebin of LCI interviewed Netanyahu as did Ferrari of C News and the spokesperson for the genocidaires of the Zionist army, Rafowicz congratulated BFM for its treatment of the question very favorable to the occupation, as Netanyahu did with C News. As for the public service, it is extremely silent on the genocide, when it is not serving soup to Braun-Pivet or crying over the death of the soldiers of the occupation. More and more people realize that these agencies lie and preserve the policy of Capital, on this subject as on others. It is up to us to unite.
In conclusion
The deployment of its military force in Lebanon, the plans to destroy all Palestinian life in northern Gaza, the growing stranglehold on the lands of the Palestinians of the West Bank do not change anything, the Zionist state is showing its muscles to hide the fact that it cannot achieve its goals. The Palestinians, with or without weapons, are resisting and the occupying army is in difficulty, the Zionist state itself is on the verge of collapse. The Lebanese Resistance, despite the blows it has dealt, is organizing and keeping watch. This is enough to warm the hearts of those who are fighting in their own way for the liberation of Palestine. If the goals of the Zionists are now clear, there is a long way to go!
Like all those supporters of the liberation of Palestine around the world, we continue and will continue, tirelessly, to demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire, as well as free access for humanitarians throughout the Gaza Strip, and the total withdrawal of the occupying forces from the enclave. But this will not be enough.
A just peace means the dismantling of the colonies, the return of the refugees and an independent Palestinian state. What prevents such a peace is the existence of a colonial state. The workers of Israel cannot be free if they do not break with Zionism, if they continue to find themselves objectively in the camp of the colonizers. Solidarity with Palestine cannot be satisfied with general phrases about peace. We need a state where all inhabitants enjoy the same rights and can live together, regardless of their origin, in this case, a democratic Palestinian state. Similarly, the national liberation struggle of the Palestinian people does not need compassion, but real political support and actions of internationalist solidarity. And for France, where the Revolutionaries, as elsewhere, must first fight their capitalists, this begins with the political struggle against the support of French imperialism for the Zionist colonial state.
This is why the Revolutionary Communist Party intends to continue to bring together all those who want an immediate ceasefire to end the massacre of Palestinians and who speak out for peace. For us, this means supporting the fundamental demands of the Palestinian national liberation movement, especially after the assassination of one of its leaders: an immediate end to Zionist military aggression, the right of return for refugees and the formation of a Palestinian state on the territory of Mandatory Palestine.
