Bulletin No46 mai 2024 No electoral perspective, only the strengthening of the class struggle will allow a favorable outcome for workers.
The Communist Revolutionary Party thanks the voters who voted for the list led by Olivier Terrien and Martine Moreau. More of you than in 2019 used our ballot. You have clearly expressed the choice of opening a perspective to abolish the capitalist system and remove all economic and political power from it in order to entrust the management of society to the people for social and human progress. You have your place with us to continue this fight.
The strong abstention (50%) and the weak result of the renaissance list show the deep rejection of Macron's policies. The National gathering inducted as successor during the Bardella Attal debate largely absorbed popular discontent. He is the iron in the reserve fire of capital.
Macron presented himself as the only alternative to the far right while he, Le Pen and Bardella agree to accelerate the social breakdown and satisfy the appetites of big business.
Macron decided to dissolve the National Assembly for new elections on June 30 and July 7 to lock us in a false choice between the RN or that of a sacred union of a "republican axis" or for others, of a “popular front”. Everyone who has already governed for a long time will lead the same policy, that dictated by employers and multinationals with the aim of continuing and accentuating capitalist reforms: pensions, unemployment, Unedic, health, hospitals, education, civil service, breakage. of industry, all-out privatizations, retention in NATO… An acceleration in the capitalist domination of society.
As in France, in the 27 countries of the European Union (EU), the main characteristic of these elections is the high abstention rate and the progression of the far right. In France and Italy, far-right parties are coming to the fore, absorbing popular discontent. In Spain the Spanish Socialist Workers Party is in decline to the benefit of the right and the extreme right. The Social Democratic Party in Germany and the ruling Greens suffer a defeat. The same goes for countries where “conservative” parties have been in power for a long time, with or alternating with social democracy, they all suffer from unpopularity linked to the discontent generated by their anti-social policies.
Nothing will change in the European Parliament even if changes are observed in its composition. Negotiations for job sharing will allow big monopoly capital to continue to dictate its rules; it has nothing to fear.
For us, the struggle continues to fight capitalist Europe and its armed wing, the imperialist NATO alliance.
There is only class struggle to slow down and stop capital, it is the only tool workers have to achieve this. The amplification of the struggles which have not ceased, their convergence must become the urgent and essential objective of the working class to satisfy the demands, increase wages, pensions and social benefits, prevent the destruction of public services, push back anti-social measures and privatizations…
The question of which society we want arises: to continue for the worse the capitalist society to which Macron is subjecting the French people or to attack this capitalist system which destroys people and nature, generates wars and misery?
The political struggle to rid society of capital is essential to give the people the political power to lead in the interests of workers and the nation.
We continue our call to organize popular resistance and struggle. Without struggle, nothing will move, on the contrary. Without struggle everything will get worse.
Social and political struggles are therefore essential, essential and we call on all those who have expressed an anti-capitalist vote, those who want to fight capitalist Europe and its armed wing the imperialist alliance of NATO, our voters and all those who took part in this campaign by distributing our leaflets and ballots to come together to strengthen this political fight.
