Dear Comrades,
We have read and thank you for the letter you sent on September 7, 2020 to the communist and workers' parties around the world. This letter gives precise information both on the complex situation which reigns in your country and sheds light on the position of your party.
We also wish to express our point of view to you, the point of view that your text calls for.
First of all, and this is essential for us within the framework of the solidarity of internationalist struggle, we want to confirm to you the support we give to the Venezuelan people, to these progressive forces and to the PCV in their struggle for independence and respect for the national sovereignty of Venezuela.
We take note of the decisions of your governing bodies with regard to the strategy and tactics that you have decided to implement: that of a “great patriotic and anti-imperialist alliance”, a broad alliance which in your eyes is necessary for: “Faced with this complex scenario of imperialist siege which endangers the sovereignty and self-determination of the country, the Communist Party of Venezuela insists on the need to build the broadest alliance of democratic, popular, patriotic, progressive, anti-imperialist forces and revolutionaries that goes beyond the present times and takes the form of a collective orientation and a common program to overcome imperialist aggression through the revolutionary transformation of Venezuelan society. "And you add:" For the CPV, the ensuing struggle against the imperialist siege and in defense of sovereignty is inseparable from the struggle for a revolutionary way out of the capitalist crisis. In this sense, the strengthening of liberal and unpopular austerity policies only multiplies the weight of the burden of the capitalist crisis and imperialist sanctions on the shoulders of the workers, while they weaken the capacities of the workers' and popular movement to intervene. in favor of the urgent tasks of agricultural and industrial development, necessary to thwart the sanctions, the economic blockade and the sabotage of the national economy. In the PCV, we are convinced that it is not by concessions and by submission to the interests of the capitalists that we can defeat imperialism. From this analysis logically follows the tasks which fall to and which you set for your party. You will understand that we cannot analyze for you the best way to lead the struggle against imperialism which is today a mortal enemy of your people. We believe that each revolutionary party has a heavy responsibility to define its orientation and tactics in the class struggle at the national level, including it in the common struggle against imperialism.

We are committed to organizing the workers' vanguard to tear down capitalism and build a socialist society. We believe, like you, that the fight against imperialism is an essential part of the revolutionary problematic today, as the clashes within it reflect the struggles and contradictions that are developing there today for the seizure, against the interests of peoples, raw materials, means of communication, space and labor power. This, comrades, is how we see our internationalist solidarity.
